Coffee Talk

Over the last 25 years, working for my family business, I have learned a lot about coffee.
The process from bean to cup is so beautiful. Coffee, inherently, is much more than just a way to wake up and focus. It is an art, craft, skill, and passion process for many people all over the world.
Coffee (as a market) helps provide international opportunity, and it also offers a way to help the planet through its natural ability to grow in the shade.
For now, I will focus on how to brew at home, but in the future I can share more about my passion for coffee!
Here is a list of barista tools I use to make great coffee at home.
Our new Breville Barista Express Impress Espresso Machine, is in transit! For Jeffrey's Birthday this year I am surprising him with this new espresso machine! Looking forward to sharing more about it in the coming weeks.
For larger batches of auto drip coffee I use the Technivorm Mochcamaster. I like the thermal carafe, which is similar to the pour pots we use for wholesale coffee customers. It keeps the coffee hot, and has capacity for coffee for about 6 people to enjoy.
In order to achieve consistency, I like to use a coffee scale. I use the Hario V60 Drip Scale and measure my coffee every time I brew. When I make pour over coffee, I also measure the water.
For pour over coffee I use a Hario V60 Dripper. Hario offers many options for this drip style and they also have custom filters. It is a really simple and nice way to brew drip coffee.
Hario V60 Insulated Metal Server (600ml) is a beautiful option for pour over coffee. It is a great way to keep pour over coffee hot. It is also reminiscent of the pour pots used in a restaurant setting. It is sturdy and will last for many years.
Please send me a message if you have any questions about coffee, brewing, or any of the items listed here.
All the Best, Always,
Nikole
