This October, I’m looking for 10 neighbors who want to turn a small, sunny 5 × 5-foot section of lawn into a native pollinator garden—planted with seed this fall and beginning to bloom next spring.
As I begin the landscape garden side of 25 Carrot, I’m opening the first 10 gardens to our community as a gift—at no cost to the homeowner. It’s a chance to learn by planting together, create something beautiful, and share the beauty and benefits of growing with nature in mind.

Our Roots
The roots of 25 Carrot began with coffee, agriculture, hospitality, and a love for gathering around the table.
My connection to food and nature started early. As an Agriculture major at the University of Maryland, I developed a deeper appreciation for plants, growing systems, and the relationship between people and the natural world.
That passion grew alongside my experience in my family’s business, Kobrick Coffee Co., where I spent 25 years immersed in the rhythm of hospitality. From our roasting plant in Jersey City to the kitchens, cafés, and dining rooms of New York City, I learned that the most meaningful moments often happen around the table.
Together, these experiences shaped the heart of 25 Carrot — a place where food, coffee, gardens, and home come together.
