Simple Comforts, July Edition
This section will include a few great products for the season, from Amazon, to update our home. Refreshing simple items like coffee gear, napkins, storage, cooking utensils, & glassware can be fun, and add a touch of freshness to the home. Also, great products for kids, + pets & gardens will be included!
Here are the July additions...
These 16 oz. glasses with their bamboo lids and glass straws (paid link) have become our family's go-to water glass. I keep it next to me throughout the day to make sure I am staying hydrated. They are also great for iced coffee!
These 20 oz. glass storage jars with bamboo lids (paid link) are great for nuts, pasta, oatmeal, granola and rice. They help you to create a beautiful, well organized pantry. I prefer glass over plastic for everything!
Blue and white stripes are great, all year, but especially in summer! Using cotton napkins, even causally, makes the table feel inviting. These pretty seersucker cotton napkins (paid link) add a touch of classy comfort.
After seeing a beautiful photo in the Blackberry Farm Cookbook with a 4th of July table setting, I wanted to add small galvanized metal buckets (paid link) for fresh cut garden flowers. It needs a small glass on the inside to hold water, but they give a summer table that farmhouse touch; simple and endearing.
For the yard, I have been enjoying adding clover (paid link), to fill in the grass with. It is good for the soil, needs less maintenance, and it is enjoyed by the bees and the bunnies alike. Also, finding 4 leaf clovers is so much fun for kids & we have found at least a dozen so far this summer!
This summer was our first in our house. I wanted to add a compact enclosed greenhouse. This "mini" greenhouse (paid link) is pretty and sturdy, and we filled it with herbs, chamomile, peppers, squash, and strawberries. It has been so fun to have in the backyard. It's a simple way for beginner gardeners to start!
